Product Description Are you ready for the summer? S'mores and sing-a-longs? Crafts and campfires? Singer-songwriter Lisa Loeb takes us to a special session of summer camp on her new children's CD, ''Camp Lisa.'' The disc includes 19 tracks and some very special guest campers including Kay Hanley, Dave Gibbs, Nina Gordon, Jill Sobule, Lee Sklar, Maia Sharp and funnyman Steve Martin. ''Camp Lisa'' is the follow-up to her debut kids CD, the award-winning ''Catch The Moon'' and is slated for release on September 16 on Loeb's own Furious Rose Productions. ''Camp Lisa'' celebrates the summer camp tradition with a collection of new tunes and old favorites. Produced by Loeb and her writing partners Dan Petty and Michelle Lewis and largely inspired by '70s rock and pop, ''Camp Lisa'' is a magical musical destination for the kid in all of us.

takes you back October 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this album for the song "Best Friend" and because once upon a time, I knew all these traditional camp songs. In the 22 years since I served as a camp counselor I've forgotten most of them and now I have a brand new baby granddaughter to sing them to, so it's time to relearn! Not to mention 2 very good friends that were on staff with me and will love to sing these with their kids. And in the car, when no one is around... although it's marketed as a kid's album, if you love whimsy and have happy summer camp memories like I do, you'll enjoy it.
