A beloved children's band from Australia, The Wiggles are four music-making guys: Jeff, Murray, Greg, and Anthony. When the Big Red Car (a whimsical dune buggy) won't start, or as the Wiggles say, no "Chugga, Cugga, Toot, Toot!," it's an ideal time to sing and dance. There are songs about walking across the street and eating foods that are healthy as well as some that are more familiar like "Head, Shoulder, Knees, and Toes" and "Look Both Ways." The lads stir up a whole lot of energy with the help of their costumed friends, including Wags the Dog, Officer Beaples, Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain FeatherSword, and Zardo Zap. Their videos have a retro '60s feel, very upbeat and fun. It's easy to see why they are so popular in the land down under. Ages 3 to 6. --Peggy Maltby-Etra

Description
After one ride in the Wiggles' Big Red Car, you'll be giggling and wiggling non-stop. "Toot Toot!" and "Chugga Chugga" along with Australia's hottest children's band as they sing and dance their way form space trips to pirate ships. Join Jeff, Murray, Greg and Anthony, as well as Wags the Dog, Officer Beaples, Zardo Zap and many more, for a ride you'll never forget. Start the car and honk the horn. It's time to "Toot Toot" with The Wiggles.

5 out of 5 stars A magical experience!   January 24, 2001

Toot Toot is one amazing show! I loved this video! It is full of fun songs, dancing, and joy. It truly is a rare magical treat. I have the other Wiggles videos and I like them all, but this one stands out above the rest due to the show quality choreography and the movie-like rhythm of each song. The short skits in between are very funny and flow perfectly with the story. It is like watching a really good movie, which makes you feel like a joyful kid again. If you are in a bad mood watching this video will surely cheer you up.

My baby is only 5 months old, but she loves watching The Wiggles. I am 35 and I love it to, and so does my husband. The songs are very good and catchy. The only problem is they will sing in your head while you try to sleep at night. The dancing is spectacular! In fact, I advice you to throw away all your aerobics videos, and dance to The Wiggles moves in this tape instead. It is much better due to the shear fun factor and the variety of steps, most of which are high impact aerobics.

The Wiggles have the formula perfected for childhood imagination, fun, song and dance! This is a wonderful video to sing and dance to and it will make you feel young, happy and carefree too. What could be better then that for a child, or for a child's parent for that matter? No home should be without this video. I hope The Wiggles are aroud for a very long time.

I'm not sure why we ever brought this video in to the house, but my son (24 months) is absolutely obsessed with it. He requests it by name about 3 seconds in the door home from day care. My husband and I constantly have the catchy songs stuck in our heads. The adults, kids and characters in the video are happy and active, although my son barely blinks during his viewings. Bottom line, he loves it, the songs are positive and teach things like how to cross he street, and luckily there is more than one video by the Wiggles so we can get them and at least have some variety (i hope). The Wiggles are a huge fad right now with the 2-3 year old circuit here in Seattle. They have everything toddlers like:cars, food, animals, kids, singing, dancing, pirates, cowboys, aliens. I recommend this video to anyone with a two year old. I encourage you to try to get them to move around while watching the video. Sure you'll go a little crazy, but who with a toddler isn't?

5 out of 5 stars Toot toot the best yet   February 10, 2001

When you're buying videos for the kids, you have to find something they like and that you won't mind seeing 4 times in one day. The Wiggles tapes are about the only things we've gotten that really fit the bill. Our 3-year-old loves them, our older kids dance to them, and we don't have to find the time to do a work-out video because we can dance along. Toot Toot is the best Wiggles video yet - the production values are more sophisticated, the choreography is crisper, and the songs are integrated into the overall video better. I'm not sure how to describe them to people who haven't seen them - it's like PeeWee's Playhouse, only really for kids. The actor/singers seem to really enjoy what they're doing, and their energy is infectious. And unlike a majority of kids' musical videos, the music is actually good.

5 out of 5 stars Confessions of an Adult Wiggles Fan   November 9, 2002

My only regret about discovering the Wiggles is that I did so AFTER they finished their west coast USA tour. As I watch snippets from their live shows on some of these videos, I'm near tears envisioning myself and my 2-year-old daughter dancing at the foot of the stage. In my fantasy, we are so engaging, the Wiggles pull us up on stage and proclaim us honorary Wiggles. Tears stream down my face, Wiggle Jeff parades little Julie around on the stage on his shoulders...

Okay, so I'm a little kooky. But this team of four average looking grown men, blessed with facial expressions animated enough to make Jim Carey jealous, are worthy of adulation. The kid appeal is enormous: primary colors, simple but larger-than-life choreography, songs about everyday things like food and animals, and oversized animal puppets. The mesmerizing effect it has on Julie is convenient when I need her to be distracted, but even more fun is the look on her face when she finally picks up the dance moves to songs like "Hot Potato". She is delighted, and I'm ready to burst.

I wish I could put a finger on why this is so successful. It's not like this is a new concept, but I don't recall being this passionate about The New Zoo Revue or Sigmund and the Sea Monsters. I guess the only way to describe it is "chemistry." Each Wiggle and puppet has their own endearing quality, which combined with all others, makes the experience magical.

I'd love to know how it all came about. Did four college roommates consolidate their juvenile, drunken antics into a million dollar idea? Was there an open casting call, ala The Monkees, for four goofy guys? I guess I'll just have to wait for the E! Hollywood True Story to find out, although I hope the truth is too clean and boring for that genre.

5 out of 5 stars The Wiggles Keep My Two Year Old Giggling and Wiggling   January 10, 2001

...and this new release does more of the same.

While some of the songs are recyled from previous videos, the performances are clever, fun, and perform the near miracle of keeping my little girl enchanted while not making her daddy want to throw blunt objects at the television after his 3713th viewing. The songs are catchy and not overly dorky, and the arrangements are fun.

The Wiggles are more entertaining for me to watch than, say, the Teletubbies, whom I sincerely hope become roadkill, or Barney, who needs to have an industrial accident.

But, my preferences aside, my daughter's eyes light up as soon as the Duck logo comes on at the beginning, and she keeps smiling all the way through. What more can you ask for from a children's video?
