5 out of 5 stars Get to really know the band!   August 24, 2007

The majority of the songs on this CD will not be new to most Third Day fans. However, there are a few bonus tracks that you may not have, including: "I See Love" from "The Passion of the Christ Songs: Original Songs Inspired by the Film", "Carry Me Home" from their rare 2001 EP of the same name, (it was free with the purchase of "Come Together" when it was first released,) "Movin' on Up" from the "Second Chance" original motion picture soundtrack, and "Blessed Assurance," a beautiful hymn from, I THINK, one of the WOW CDs.
I mainly got this for the DVD. The in-depth interview with the band is awesome! You really get a sense of who they are & how they got where they are today. Live video performances like "Thief" don't hurt either!

5 out of 5 stars gotta have it!   August 16, 2007

Once again, masterfully done! A great collection for those who have to have everything Third Day has produced as well as for those who can only get compilations and "best of" sets. Superb documentary, hilarious fan videos. I'll shut up, just buy the cd/dvd!

5 out of 5 stars My Favorite Band   September 30, 2007

I have most of their CDs and I've seen them live for their past three or four tours but I will still buy and recommend both Chronology 1 & 2.

Different variations on familiar songs, live versions, interviews, concert footage--this is not just a repackaging of previous Third Day hits, this is an in-depth, up-close-and-personal experience with one of the greatest Christian rock bands of all time.

This is a band that sounds just as awesome live as they do in a studio. There are actually some songs that I prefer to hear the live versions--and then a few that I love both live and studio!

5 out of 5 stars A Great Collection   March 25, 2008

I originally had no intention of buying this CD/DVD set as I have all of Third Day's albums so I thought that it would not really be worth it. After getting THIRD DAY CHRONOLOGY VOLUME 1 FOLIO and seeing how great it was, I knew that I had to get this one also. I'm very glad that I did.

This CD-DVD set not only features many of Third Day's best hits from over the years, there are also several very good videos. Some of them are from the early days. Those are a lot of fun for fans. There is also a one hour long documentary about the history of the group. That is also very interesting.

There are some goofy videos done by some of Third Day's self proclaimed best fans. They don't add much to this.

I am sure that it is quite difficult to decide what to include in a greatest hits collection for a group with as many outstanding songs as Third Day has. With these two CD's they have done a pretty good job of that. There is one very notable ommission - These Thousand Hills. I cannot imagine why that was not included in one of these.

This set is very good for anyone. The casual fan will get some songs that he/she may not have. The hard core fan will get some very interesting videos and extras to add to his/her collection.

This is a great buy. I highly recommend it.

5 out of 5 stars ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!   September 13, 2007

If you're a fan of Third Day and have followed the band for a good period of time you know that these guys can ROCK!! Both CV1 (Chronology Volume I) and CV2 (Chronology Volume II) prove this and they are both absolutely packed with great songs and great videos and they are (IMO) essential to use if you wanna introduce Third Day's music to a new fan.

All in all, I've enjoyed both CV1 & CV2!!!!

Get this and you will not be disappointed in the least!!
