It Is What It Is. November 14, 2006 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
If there is one band out there that has shown how quick time really flies, then it is Staind. A band who consistently releases a new album every two years and has now been in the business ten years. It's hard to believe it, but Staind aren't a new band anymore. "The Videos," a collection of every Staind video ever seen in the U.S. is a testament to the band's prominence and productivity. From the early days of being a Fred Durst directed band to the latter days where they look like old dudes who are totally out of place with the emo/metalcore scene of today, Staind and their music videos serve as a healthy dose of nostlagia.
Opening with 1999's "Just Go," which stars frotman Aaron Lewis' peculiar red eyebrows and his wife Vanessa and capping off with two live & acoustic performances, every video from the band you want can be found here. Little oddities such as the video for "How About You," which could only be seen on the Fuse channel and the live video for "Outside," which gained the band some crucial momentum at the time, make their way onto this collection, surprisingly. Having seen most of these videos dozens of times, I have to say I was more pleased to see the newer videos -- such as "Falling" and "Everything Changes," which I had never seen before. Anyone else? The live performances, of "Everything Changes" and "Sober," are nice, but beckon the question: Where is the rest of the performance? This DVD could have benefited more from being a live concert DVD other than just a run-of-the-mill music video collection -- especially since there are no special features to speak of (some commentary could have helped as well). But as it is, you're getting what you paid for. Nothing more than what's advertised, and nothing less. For me, personally, it's a nice trip down memory lane.
For a true fan! January 19, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this band so I was excited to grab this DVD...all of my favorite songs get the visual treatment they deserve...and who doesn't just LOVE the video for 'Mudshuvel'?!?!?! Freaking amazing! With rare treats like 'Just Go' and 'How About You' to videos that anyone with MTV has seen, like 'Home' and 'It's Been Awhile', this DVD has just about everything, missing some, but you really can't complain too much. I'da purchased this just for 'Mudshuvel' so to me everything else is just bonus! Liked the inclusion of 'Everything Changes'...that was a nice surprise.

I thought that this was a nice compilation of videos, but my only criticism of it is that it does not include the original video for 'Outside'. Other than that no problems really, but i recall that with Marilyn Manson's hits/videos release, there was an album by album type navigation on the dvd for selecting what video you wanted to watch, i would have recommended that something like that have been done here - i thought the screen design was quite lazy.
I thought it was all their videos December 24, 2006 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I guess theres another version of outside. These record companies are riduculous. Include it all. Their greatest hits mentions fade in the liner notes, but doesn't include it. WTF
I purchased this for my brother January 10, 2007 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
