Great, powerful, inspiring and delight-filled!!! December 7, 2005 16 out of 20 found this review helpful
Why aren't there more reviews? Look at the sales rank of this CD set. It's selling like crazy!
Don't Christians like to talk about the music they listen to??
Oh well.
It's a great CD. I have WOW 2004, 2005 and now 2006. I was disappointed in 2005 but loved 2004, so I took a gamble on the aught-six CD. The music is much better than the previous years (and I really liked 2004, so that's saying something).
Technically, the music sounds fuller and stronger and has more depth. Musically-speaking, I find the tunes more pleasing and more professional and lively.
Lyrics-wise, it's fantastic. Profoundly inspiring and stirring. More than a few songs brought a tear to my eye and a tangible feeling of warmth to my soul. Very stirring and deeply touching. I highly recommend this for hungry Christians, seeking the message of God's love and grace via song. This music is spirit-filled and deeply satisfying.

This year seems better than in the past October 14, 2005 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
This year's collection seems better than in the past few years. That, of course, is due to the quality of music that has been put over the past year. As with the past few years there are bonus songs - this year there are 3. The highlights for me were Toby Mac's (featuring dc Talk meaning that it's dc Talk) Atmosphere, Voice of Truth by Casting Crown's, Homesick by MercyMe etc...(the list goes on). You get 33 songs on 2 cd's for a decent price. Overall a great way for someone to get the best hits of the year in one place.
WOW 2006 is my "Christian Pump" disk!!! I love it!!! February 12, 2006 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have never written a review before this - but I had to write one for this disk set because it is so powerful!!! I absolutely love WOW 2006. I have several of the previous WOW disks, but this one tops them all by far. I prefer the bronze disk because it is really gets me "Pumped up." I listen to it when I work out - it is so motivating and exilarating; I usually end up pushing myself an extra 20 minutes or so, just so I can listen to the music!!!!
WOW 2006 Is Another Example of CM's Depth & Maturity July 25, 2006 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have been a fan of Contemporary Christian Music since the Jesus People movement of 1972... Yes, I'm older than dirt... :o) But I have been watching a trend in contemporary Christian music over the last four to five years that I haven't experienced in a very long time. There is a spiritual depth and maturity in the groups and in the lyrics of their music that teaches, uplifts, grounds, encourages, and proclaims the very heart of the gospel--God's grace--truly "The Passion of the Christ."
WOW 2006 is another perfect composite of this life changing message.
So, if you want to "feel good all under" please don't hesitate to purchase this twin CD set. It can truly be life saving and life changing if that's what you need and/or want in your life now.
In a hopeless world there is hope to be found and it is unabashedly proclaimed in this glorious musical collection.
Outstanding! January 12, 2006 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is an awesome album! The only problem is, I think, they should come out with the WOW albums on, for example, the 1st of 2006, instead of Oct. 2005 (which is when it was released), so all the CDs can come out and they can put more songs on. Like Rebecca St. James' new CD came out a month after this album, but she her hit song "Alive" couldn't have been on there cause her CD wasn't out yet! Anyway now I will tell you the ups not the downs, my favorites:
PURE by Superchic[k]. This is the reason I wanted the album! The tempo is just right, the beat is awesome and the lyrics are uplifting! Give me a C-O-O-L! What does that spell COOL!
BRAVE by Nichole Nordeman. A very good song, uplifting and beutiful. Not too slow, not too fast. Just right.
TAKE YOU BACK by Jeremy Camp. This song rox! I love it! The music and lyrics are awesome!
HIDE by Joy Williams. Definately the the best song! The reason I said I got the album for Superchic[k]'s song though, is because I already had this song.
ATMOSPHERE (REMIX) by tobyMac & dc Talk. This song is so cool! I'm so glad dc Talk finally did something together again!
ALL THAT I CAN DO by Bethany Dillon. An awesome song! Very cool and it really has Bethany's sound to it!
HOLY IS THE LORD by Chris Tomlin. Awesome! Uplifting!
The ones that got away:(
MIRROR by BarlowGirl. I expected this to be better!
BE MY ESCAPE by relient K. Horrible! But my sister likes it!
