4 out of 5 stars Brilliant as usual   January 10, 2007

Of the two tracks on this single, the acoustic recording is the best. I honestly have quickly grown tired of Call Me When You're Sober, and the Acoustic performance gave it new life, as most acoustic verstions from Evanescence do. Amy Lee is back, and Ben Moody, well... He really isn't missed. The full album Open Door is arguably better than fallen. I hope this band continues to produce fantastic goth rock.

I'm an Evanescence fan, but this song dissapoints me. Something really bugged me about the chorus, and the verses are fine from the start, but then also get annoying. And the lyrics are some of the worst I've read from Amy Lee. Plus, it seems like they lost anything that was dark or metalic that they had with Fallen and Origin. This is just nothing but another stupid breakup song that sounds like it was made specifically for radio play. And if it was, then Evanescence succeeded, because this song is overplayed to death. There are so many better songs on The Open Door. I say get that album and skip this track.

EVANESCENCE HAS A DISSTINCTIVE SOUND THAT WILL BLOW YOU AWAY. WITH A SULTRY AND SOOTHING VOICE BY AMY LEE, THERE WHOLE CD DESERVES 2 THUMBS UP

1 out of 5 stars Like a bad Lacuna Coil ripoff   November 21, 2006

Seriously, its like Cristina Scabbia minus the emotion, talent, and raw power.. but rather corporate rock, sprinkled with post production and a self righteous theme in the end.. cant cover up the fact that this is as bland as it gets.

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful!   July 13, 2007
The Acoustic version of "Call Me When Your Sober" breathes new life into a wonderful song! Amy Lee has the voice of an Angel!
