stunning rhythms and a velvet vocal October 28, 2008

What a delight this CD is! Tcheka's use of intricate African rhythms combined with velvet-rich vocals will lift your spirits and urge you to dance. Highly recommended. 'Lonji', the title track, is softly joyful, with interesting rhythmic development, and the backing vocal motif riding over it adds a haunting quality. 'Telemovel' weaves a surprising melodic motion through the rhythms. The whole Cd makes me want to dance, to move and delight in it's refreshing beauty.
