ER Soundtrack - disappointing March 2, 2008 There have been some excellent soundtracks on ER, often performed by artistis and in keeping with the emotional theme of the programme. I hoped this would be a representative compilation but it was extremely disappointing in content. Certainly not what I was expecting and although not expensive was not money well spent.
Amazing April 5, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Being a huge fan of the show for many years now, I had to buy this cd. It is excellent. It contains music from the first two seasons of the show, including the theme song, which I think is the best tv theme ever. James Newton Howard's theme captured entirely the mood of the show. And Martin Davitch, who now does the music for each episode, has done a splended job of matching incredible music with the many classic and powerful moments of one of the greatest shows in tv history. The music is cinematic! Now if only Martin Davitch and Warner Brothers would get they're act together and release another soundtrack that would cover some of the amazing music that has been used in the show after this soundtrack came out. I would buy that too. Overall, except for the three tracks with vocals (yes, it ruins the mood), this is a perfect tv soundtrack.
Not only for ER Fans February 24, 2006 This is a great CD. Not only for those like me, who love ER, even if you do not ussually watch this show, you'll find this album has great musical themes, very enjoyable, to listen it when you want to relax.
THE Cd February 22, 2006 Hi bought this CD there are 2 months.... and I'm always listening to it. The quality of the music is very high, and it's very relaxing for when you are doing your homeworks! My parents need to say me to stop listening at it because...I'm not able by myself! Buy it, you won't be disappointed... even if you are a french person... like me!
MUST HEAR CD January 15, 2005 2 out of 7 found this review helpful
Last night ER was all new, an episode called SKIN. In it, med student Abby Lockhart was abducted by several gang members in order to save one of they're seriously wounded. It was an intense, brutal episode about the tragedy caused by gang violence. It reminded me why ER is the greatest series of all time. At times it's an intense, violent show about life working in the ER. Other tines, it's a tearjerking example of life and death and other times, it's a quick moving show packed with drama, action, brief humor and personal loss. It is all of this and more. That is reflected in this soindtrack. At times the melodies are upbeat and dramatic, other times it's calm, sad or compassionate. And a few times it's even happy. The soundtrack, like the show, takes you through every emotion. It's a wild ride, and one every must see tv fan should experience. ER is must see tv. And this is a must hear cd.
