Editorial Reviews:

Album Description
Capturing the grainy isolated vibe of the Emerald City, hip-hop pioneer Datz Cold has emerged as a true product of his environment. With month after month of grey skies and rain it's no wonder that his music has been described as "dead hip-hop" by Seattle's premier indie paper the Stranger. In the tradition of producers like the Bomb Squad and RZA, Datz Cold crafts a post-apocalyptic aural landscape laced with venomous lyrical landmines. Call it hip-hop noir or existential rap, Datz Cold is casting a pitch black shadow over the local scene and beyond with his debut release "a green hell" on zerobpm recordings.

1 out of 5 stars Dead Crap Rap   December 20, 2005

Obviously the review above is a friend of Datz Lukewarm...
This album is a huge dissapointment and its no suprise its another failed white rapper trying to steal rather than create... Their are plenty of better rappers who do DARK rap better and most of those rappers are dark skinned as well.
The priviliged white rapper has no place promoting wack rhymes and wack beats go back and work for you daddy at his real estate office BACTH!!

5 out of 5 stars Great, dark hip-hop.   April 7, 2004

This is the best hip-hop to come out of Seattle. Datz Cold's lyrics and beats set the tone for a dark, cold, wet West Coast winter. The beats are surgically precise loops, the lyrics intelligent and hard-hitting, and the stylings innovative. Not your typical top 40 or gangsta rap.
