Album Description In one of the biggest jumps ever recorded in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, Rihanna's newest single "Take A Bow" rockets from #53 to #1 this week. "Take A Bow" also debuts at #1-bullet on the Billboard Hot Digital Songs Chart with a phenomenal first week of 266,696 scans. The song was written by fellow Def Jam artist Ne-Yo and produced by Stargate, the same team responsible for Rihanna's "Unfaithful" (of 2006), and "Hate That I Love You," her Top 10 duet with Ne-Yo released late last year. "Take A Bow" raises the curtain on the upcoming new CD+DVD U.S.release of Rihanna's GOOD GIRL GONE BAD: RELOADED. The new configuration arrives in stores on June 17th - the week after the album officially marks its historic 52nd week on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The original 12-song CD version of GOOD GIRL GONE BAD - source of the non-stop string of hit singles that began with the MTV VMA and Grammy Award-winning global #1 hit "Umbrella" (featuring Jay-Z), then "Shut Up and Drive," "Hate That I Love You" (featuring Ne-Yo), and the current "Don't Stop the Music" - will now be augmented with three bonus tracks: 1) "Take A Bow"; 2) a cover version of Maroon 5's "If I Never See Your Face Again" (featuring Maroon 5); and 3) "Disturbia." The newly-produced bonus DVD for GOOD GIRL GONE BAD:RELOADED will consist of behind the scenes footage. GOOD GIRL GONE BAD (released June 5, 2007) was the third album release in less than two years by multi-platinum MTV VMA, Grammy, and American Music Award winning artist - and CoverGirl spokesperson - Rihanna. It followed-up 2006's RIAA platinum A Girl Like Me, containing the back-to-back hits, "S.O.S." and "Unfaithful"; and her RIAA gold debut from 2005, Music Of the Sun, featuring the worldwide smash, "Pon De Replay."
Album Description Deluxe two disc (CD + DVD) expanded edition this hit album from the R&B sensation features extra tracks plus a bonus DVD containing five live performances.. The album, her third, is being re-released with four extra tracks including the new Maroon 5 collaboration on 'If I Never See Your Face Again' along with the brand new single 'Take a Bow'. Written by Ne-Yo and produced by Stargate, 'Take A Bow' is a contemporary R&B ballad with real class. The album itself includes the worldwide smash hit 'Umbrella' (featuring Jay-Z) plus collaborations with producer of the moment Timbaland and the new King Of R&B, Ne-Yo.

Another Market Ploy June 18, 2008 18 out of 25 found this review helpful
So they are charging $10 after I already bought the original for $14 which contains 3 songs less. I'm not interested in all the video fluff so basically buying this would mean paying $3.33 per extra song - No thanks. A really helpful review would be to tell us where someone can trade the original CD in for this one and get the $4 + tax back???? Market scams like this doesn't make me very sympathetic to the industry cry of piracy.
A Weak Re-issue but The 3 extra songs are great June 19, 2008 12 out of 13 found this review helpful
Now, Normally I am against re-issues but since I never got around to buying the original, Which I meant to, I decided to wait for the re-issue. Reloaded's 3 new tracks are great. Especially Take a Bow. Comparing the original 12 to them plus the 3 etxra tracks, Distrbia, Take a Bow, and If I Never See Your Face Again, I really like the 3 new songs. That is the main reason why I gave it 4 stars.
I decided to knock off a star for 3 main reasons
1. DVD has no videos 2. The 2 Bonus international Tracks, "Cry" And "Haunted" Still didn't make the album. 3. Adding Chris Brown "Cinderella" and the Lil Mama radio play remixes to Umbrella. Adding the 2 remixes would have been nice
The 3 new songs really add to the album. But owners of the original should just buy the mp3's. the re-issue isn't worth a re-purchase. I do believe the concert footage on the bonus dvd will be on the upcoming Good Girl Gone Bad Live DVD
Top 5 tracks 1. Umbrella 2. Take A Bow 3. Don't Stop the Music 4. Hate That I love you 5. Disturbia
Good Riddance Bad Singers June 27, 2008 8 out of 10 found this review helpful
I just can't take it anymore. First of all, Rihanna cannot sing... at all. I was at a concert, up front, where she was the opening act, and "SOS" was her hit at the time. Yes, "Tainted Love" is a great song, and that's what "SOS" was... a different title of a great song. Without the aid of a vocoder and the brilliant production team, she would be less appealing than eating chalk.
At that concert, she murdered that stupid ballad "Unfaithful". Why on earth she would record a ballad knowing that she could never sing it live, is beyond me. Of course, she did the mike to the audience trick for us to sing her lyrics... because she couldn't! The mike was pointed at us more than her mouth. I don't know what the sound was, but I was sure kittens were being tortured. So, I got up covering my ears (right in front of her) and left until she was off the stage. Sadly, I never found the kittens.
ANYONE can be a successful singer today... all you need is one or more of the following ... ruthless publicity, the right look, extra large appendages, an exposed scandal, be jail bait, have rehab experience, a sex tape, or just flash your cooch to paparazzi when coming out of a car... this means, anyone could have recorded "SOS", "Umbrella" etc. and it would have been a hit with the same production team.
This is stuff you download. Not invest money for a CD taking space in your library. Does this album deserve a new version? No, but it was done because it was full of a whole bunch of nothing before, and still is. Except for the abuse of a great Maroon 5 song which is just fine without her, thank you very much.
People that buy this CD are programmed. They are literally told what to like. If they hear it enough, they will think they like it. Kind of like Republicans. If it's on mainstream radio these days, it's all about marketing, not talent.
There is major label talent out there that are actually talented, but people and albums like this mess are just a stab in the back of real artists.
So, Rihanna, enjoy your money while you have it, but save it. You will soon take your final bow.
This really DESERVES a ZERO!!!! June 23, 2008 7 out of 16 found this review helpful
WOW!! She has some nerve to re-release an awful album. If your 1st single is Umbrella, which is a great pop song. You better make sure your BRING on the HEAT for the remaining songs on the album. This is not the case with this album & all her other albums. Rihanna seems to think people go platnium 10 times from only how addictive their 1st single is and then deliver her fans a GARBAGE album with tons of boring FIZZLE. When i heard the song "Take a Bow" and the one with Maroon 5, i thought she was releasing a whole new album. She releases a new album every year and what makes this year any different then the others? None of her CDs have staying power. So i really thought this was an entirely new album. I was shocked to find out it was a re-release. You have no right to re-release a CD unless you've gone platnium 10 times and theres artist that go beyond that and still havent done re-releases. If your gonna do a release make sure there's atleast 5 songs & no extra remixes. She only has 3 new songs on here. One of them isnt even hers. Theres a trend with awful albums getting a re-release these days like Beyonce, Fergie, Justin etc. If you cant deliver a good product the 1st time around then just release a whole new album. Dont re-release a CD & think it will win your fans over. And in the same paper packing no LESS!!! Ridiculous!!!!

Great songs, but I'm waiting for the release of the super-deluxe Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded Once Again, This Time For the Last Time, We Swear.
