Another great composition by these Finnish Cello Masters December 3, 2007 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
Apocalyptica have delived another metal masterpiece with the Album Worlds Collide. There are several versions available including the 11 track standard, 11 track with bonus dvd (see european DVD description), the extra track japan with bonus tracks Lies, Ural, and Dreamer, and Japanese bonus track version with bonus japanese DVD with I'm not jesus, making of I'm not jesus, interview, japanese interview, live videos of Master of Puppets and Betrayal, and photo gallery. There is also the European deluxe edition with 2 bonus tracks of Ural and Dreamer, and the DVD minus the live videos and the japanese interview, and a 13 track european version with no dvd. Any version you get will be excellent. I got the European DVD version, and am very pleased.
From start to finish, this album has the tempo changes and the intensity that we have come to expect from the original compositions by this band, and also has the feature of a cover tune of the german version Heros by David Bowie sang by Rammmstein's lead singer. Also featured are tracks with Three days grace lead singer, Corey Taylor of Stonesour/Slipknot, and Christina Scabia of Lacuna Coil. These vocal tracks are all decent, but I'm still more interested in the music behind them. However, again, apocalyptica makes it work well. Plus, since the addition of drumming from the album reflections forward, Dave Lombardo of Slayer continues to guest on a few of the tracks. A nice booming addition to this already blistering line up. Tracks to play loud are "I'm not Jesus", "I Don't Care", and "Worlds Collide". Again, very good album for first timers to get, and a must for fans.

I am WAITING for this one to release... The first song "I'm Not Jesus" is outstanding! Corey Taylor is great on the vocals and the music fits right in to the "angry boy music" as my wife calls it. This is Corey's best vocal since the Stone Sour "Reborn". If you don't know that song you don't know Stone Sour... This can't come soon enough!

Apocalyptica: Worlds Collide. First off, this is a great piece of musical art. Apocalyptica is the only band that I know of who truly pulls off the metal edge on classical music and with every successive album they only get better.
The tracks that really stand out on this album are: 1. Worlds Collide, 2. Grace, 7. Last Hope, 9. Burn (my new all time favorite), 11. Peace, 12. Ural, and 14. Dreamer.
The tracks that I really don't like are the tracks with singers, unfortunately; 3, 5, 8, and 10. That's why I can't give this album a perfect score, as much as I want to. On their previous albums the tracks with singers have been the standout excellent tracks to me, but on this one they're kind of whiny.
Overall, though, this is an excellent album. Buy it. Play it for your friends.
Better than I expected. November 12, 2007 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I purchased the CD after hearing the song S.O.S ( anything but love ). It was worth the price just for that song. The music is Haunting. Cristina Scabbia , from Lacuna Coil, does the vocals. She is amazing !!!! I give that song 4 stars !!!! there are some other guests doing vocals on the cd that are very good as well. the rest of the songs are instrumentals, also good.
I really like the cd, I'm glad I purchased it & feel it was worth the price. I'll be looking into getting more cd's from this artist.
excellent album, nice follow up to their last album December 3, 2007 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
