4 out of 5 stars Something different   September 8, 2008

This disc is a fiery collection of energetic instrumental music. Its more rock oriented than their previous release that had a jazzy/fusion vibe to it. Nonetheless, it is a solid record with melodic tunes played by killer musicians. Chris Poland has a style that is his own and man can he shred. But he also plays with an emotion and soul that you can feel. Robertino Pagliari is a gifted bass player and his fretless playing reminds me at times of Percy Jones with a modern twist. The lineup has been extended in the drumming department. Kofi Baker, the drummer on the previous release, plays on seven songs, Joel Taylor on three, and Frank Briggs on four songs. All of them are excellent and they each add their own flavor. The disc is close to 53-minutes long and there is no filler. If you like instrumental rock music, and are looking for something different, do yourself a favor and check out this band.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome musical talent and great Mix of the sound   October 18, 2008

With this genre of music,, ya can't get any better for my taste. A jazzy compilation that throws some good hard rock riffs right at ya. OHM: goes from tasty licks to driving hard and fast without missing a beat. Not to mention the mix job is just fabulous. Crank it up, close your eyes and your right there in concert with them.

While this album has more rock element then the previous 2 albums it still contain OHM typical fusion jazz element in every songs, in fact you could still know this is OHM by listen to one of the song. The overall material itself in my opinion is better then the previous album.

4 out of 5 stars Drummers Rule on this one!   September 24, 2008

Great record. Much better than Amino Acid Flashback IMO.
Chris Poland and Rob Pagliacci are great but on this one the real stand outs are the drummers. Joel Taylor (Allan Holdsworth) plays some serious drums on System of a Clown and Frank Briggs' (Mike Keneally) solo and performance on Point Omega is worth the price of the CD alone. Kofi Baker shows his rock star drummer lineage on his tracks, all different and all great. Buy it you won't be diappointed

5 out of 5 stars Ohm: Circus of Sound   October 24, 2008

Chris Poland and Ohm have done it again. This CD has not left my player and my iPod is constantly playing it. The musicianship is truly amazing. Chris has his own style which is a nice blend of Jeff Beck, Robin Trower,
and Holsworth only with a better legato.
