All ... except for one song September 12, 2002 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Wow, I can't believe all the heat this cd got by other people because of the inclusion of the "2 rap songs". This cd is all .... except for the absolutely phenomenal track, "Tonite is a Special Nite" by Tricky and Gravediggaz. Truly one of the most innovative and sonically interesting rap tracks of all time. I'm guessin everyone else is a strictly metal fan but I'm saying, listen to that track a few more times before you dismiss it... its genius. Then again anyhting with RZA involved tends to be genius.
Love this!!! November 21, 2002 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I'm probably one of only a handful of people who would say this (then again it might just be me and my brother), but in my opinion, this is the best of the three Crow movies/soundtracks. I'm currently listening to the cd and it's just wonderful. I've had the cd since the movie came out, and the longer I have it, the more I enjoy it. Although, I think the two rap songs kind of ruin the mood a little bit. My favorites include the first five tracks (I could just sit here and listen to Bush's "In A Lonely Place" until my batteries die), NY Loose's "Spit', Korn's "Sean Olson", and Iggy Pop's "I Wanna Be Your Dog". All in all, this is a great cd and I'm glad I bought it.
One of the best!!! July 23, 2004 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I HAD to give this CD 5 stars since it is one of the VERY FEW cd's I've bought over the past decade where I like every song (one of four actually, the others being AC/DC - Live, Weird Al - Bad Hair Day and Gravity Kills self titled album). I bought it when it first came out and still listen to it today. The songs blend well together and carry the emotion of The Crow legacy with them. I rate this album the best in the series.
Filter, Bush, the Toadies....Remember these bands? July 13, 2005 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I've been carrying around a battle-scarred copy of this CD for years. While I don't revisit the alt-rock hits at the beginning, I have discovered a jewel near the end of the disc - Iggy Pop's live version of "I Wanna Be Your Dog". It is an absolutely blistering track. I don't know how many people out there are Stooges fans, but this version beats the original on their first album, hands down. Iggy manages to pack more power and sleaze into 3 minutes than any of these other bands can put on an album.
Not bad...not bad at all August 10, 1998 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
It's a fairly good soundtrack, I have to admit. I'm Your Boogieman, Teething, Jurassitol, and I Wanna Be Your Dog are probably the best songs on the CD. Lots of great ones, though. With bands like Hole, White Zombie, Filter, Deftones, Iggy Pop, Korn, and others, what do you expect? However, the one bad aspect of this CD is the two rap songs. They are really the only bad parts of the CD. I highly recommend this album, though. It's well worth it!
