BUY IT! It's cheap and it rocks, what more can you ask for? December 23, 1999 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Just put it in and play it. I must have listened to this CD thirty times by now and I still love it. As with the other Fat comps, wonderful aggressive punk with great vocals and intellect. The price is right, it'd be worth the money if it sucked and it rocks oh so hard...
A damn good punk comp July 20, 1999 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
After listening to this cd, I have to say that its my favorite compilation cd that I own. Fat Wreck Chords did an awesome job with this. it would still be worth it. Check out the songs by Diesel Boy and Propaghandi.

I have not been able to beat my addiction to this CD in the two years since I stumbled upon it. Hundreds of my other favorite discs stay in their cases while I listen to Survival of the Fattest over and over. It's so varied that it never gets old, and it always gets me highly revved-up. There are a few duds that I skip over, but the best songs are so great that they make it all happen. Lagwagon's two songs are incredible enough that I went and waited for hours with a mob of weird underage kids for their show (which was fantastic and completely worth it). And Snuff, Propagandhi, Frenzal Rhomb and good old Tilt and NOFX fill the disc out. No Use For A Name is another great band if you don't listen to their trying-too-hard lyrics. The album in short: Solid!
