| Customer Reviews:
The Bach Project September 6, 2008 I'm not really a big fan of Die Form. I have only heard one other album by Die Form and only thought it was okay. When I heard that Die Form's latest project THE BACH PROJECT (which is pretty self-explainatory, all songs are by Bach). I have to be the first to admit THE BACH PROJECT took longer than a lot of albums to grow on me. For me the music sounded cold and emotionless. I don't know if that was intentional or not. On the upside, I was pleased to see that Die Form stayed true to the essence of Bach's music. The music is more classical and less electronica-based. The music isn't completely free of Die Form's familiar experimental/industrial sound. BWV 1031-2 and BWV 1002-1 definitely has a darker, industrial-tinged element to its sound but without sacrificing the classical melodies. THE BACH PROJECT is over 70 minutes long, I think it could have been edited to just an hour. The music has a tendency to drone on and on to a point where I want to take a nap at my desk especially if I am at work. Still I think Die Form's attempt to interpret a series of Bach's movements was interesting.
