The music is what's important January 17, 2004 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
I don't care who plays guitar or writes the words. I only know that My Immortal is a beautiful song. Isn't that what's important in music - how the listener is affected by it?
Poetry, not an aria. January 24, 2004 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is a beautiful and poetic song about love and loss. Why take away from the beauty and feeling with unnecessary musical complexity? If you're looking for an aria look elsewhere. If your looking for a true human expression of emotion this is your song. It's one of the best I've heard in years!
My Immortal December 30, 2003 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
My Immortal is a great emotional song. You will definitely like the song, band version or Fallen version, and I'll tell you why. The band version has the amazing vocals with the guitars, but the Fallen version shows off Amy Lee's beautiful voice and excellent piano playing. If you like My Immortal, you'll like similar songs like Hello, My Last Breath, and Taking Over Me.
Instant love.. February 2, 2004 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
The first time I heard this song, I cried. Amy Lee has the perfect voice for a heartfelt ballad. This has to be one of the most beautiful songs I've heard lately.
awesome February 14, 2004 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
this is one of my favourite evanescence songs. i've loved it ever since i herd it on their first album "Origin", Then i herd it when i watched the Daredevil movie in the theater, with the "Fallen" mix on it. it was at a very emotional part, and i almost cried. lol. and then i herd the same verson once Fallen came out. Then when they released it as a single...WHOA! the Radio Band Version is the BEST version out there so far! and amy lee has a wonderful voice, the best thing is, is she sounds good LIVE too. and WOOOOOOOA. words can't describe how good this song is, u just gotta listen to it.
