Deeply Touched Me January 24, 2004 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I had to pull over the first time I heard this song. It went straight through me. Mainly because I just lost my five year old little boy to cancer in Oct of 2003. Never has a song touched me so deep. Thank you Evanescence for nailing it. I have always liked your music, now it is set in stone.
Haunting November 26, 2003 8 out of 10 found this review helpful
Once again, with two hit singles under her belt, Amy Lee proves she has a voice to rival Mariah's or any other big name star. Its just her pure voice with the backing of a piano. There are two different versions of this around - one which is just the piano right the way through and then another, with guitars and drums near the end, giving the single a rockier edge. I like both, can't decide which one I actually prefer. The lyrics to this song are pure haunting, and I can't imagine them being sung by anyone else apart from Amy Lee.There are rumours going about that Evanescence are going to be over before they've started, and have imploded. Already one of the guitarists has quit, but whatever happens, Amy Lee would be a dead cert to go solo. With a voice like that, she'd be crazy not to.
When we cried, Evanescence wiped away all of our tears December 26, 2003 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
Once again, after the massive success of Bring Me to Life, and Goin' Under, Evanescence hit the stores, only this time their song is not a powerfull rock sound, but a mellow, melancholic ballad, a classic ballad, if you ask me.The song is awsome, and you will surely find yourselves crying to its lyrics, that talk about losing someone and not being able to come to terms with the fact that he/she is gone, and not coming back. Especially to those of you who have lost someone dear, and by "lost" I mean either a break up, or a death, the lyrics are gonna sound so familiar, as you'll find yourselves being in that same place. The video clip is a black & white, haunting story, as we see Amy lie in rooftops and trees. EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!! A must buy!!!!!
Evanescence...Simplemente Una Gran Banda de Rock... January 31, 2004 3 out of 9 found this review helpful
