| Editorial Reviews:
Album Description Produced by John Fryer (Him, Paradise Lost, Cradle Of Filth), Lacrimas Profundere's latest, Filthy Notes for Frozen Hearts is a masterful concoction of bittersweet melodies, heavy rockin' riffs and the band's signature sorrowful lyrics; the perfect balance between pure melancholy and absolute anger. At times aggressive but always lively, Lacrimas Profundere are ready to claim the throne of Gothic Rock/Metal! The Ltd. Ed. digipak version contains a bonus track and `making of' the Again It's Over video.

This is certainly the best of Lacrimas Profundere December 14, 2006 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
All Thou it is clear that they are not musical geniuses I can't ignore the great vocals and the raw emotions in the lyrics. If you are into songs that take pleasure in the darkness and relish the sadness of ones soul then you most hear My Mescaline and do not hesitate on baying their other material;

Enjoyable CD with great heavy riffs along with some slow and heavy songs. Rhythms and song compilation were well written and have intense feeling. Music is kind of along the lines of Love Like Blood meets Pantheist and/or My Dying Bride.
Excellent dark & gloomy hard rock! July 9, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had heard of this group for a while, but i delayed in checking them out, mostly due to the name. i thought they would be singing in a language other than english, which i don't prefer. They are from Germany, but do sing in english. I wouldn't say the vocalist is identical to Peter Steele of Type O Negative, but fans of TON will definitely love the similarities of his voice. Most of the songs are radio-friendly in length (3-4 minutes), and more uptempo than TON, but his voice is so dark & gothic that i can't help but compare the two, although the musical styles have significant differences. The clean guitar picking parts (and even acoustic guitars) add an elegant atmosphere to the overall feel of the album as a whole. i have since gone back & purchased their other albums, and in my opinion, this one is by far the best. This group has matured not only in style but also ability through their career. i look forward to the next release.
