A visionistic sophomore effort July 27, 1998 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
The sophomore effort from the Shadow Project resounds with potential. The release focusses on trauma ballads. The ballads are very well written and the haunting quality is still there, and I certainly recommend it to any hard core Goth fan.
great album December 15, 2000 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
good creepy fun. rozz is in top form, but eva o's songs aren't that great, the one where she sings like a cartoon ghost is unitentionally hillarious. Jill Emery from Hole plays bass on this album. fans of christians death's "only theatre of pain" should give this a listen, you'll like it.
Life after Christian Death May 2, 2002 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
Rozz continued to move on with his music after leaving Valor and Christian Death. This was one of the albums he made with his band Shadow Project. There's a couple of songs that aren't that great, but most of them are awesome. I think my favorites on this album are "Static Jesus" and "Knight Stalker". This is one of my favorite dark, gloomy cds ever. Definitely buy if you are a fan of Rozz and the work he did with Christian Death.
I have seen the light - but have chosen darkness January 7, 2005 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Rozz perfects his post-Christan Death ideas, and with the help of the ghoulish Eva O, the record is a musical terror. The record paints a grim musical landscape, full of dark tones. There are occasional chants, shrieks, and mumbles, and it lives up to all of Rozz's promise of hell-fire and brimstone. The tracks "Zaned People" and "Holding you Close" stand out. These are likely tracks one may hear on the infamous elevator between the planes of hell. This record clearly separates Rozz from his C.D. music. Mojo Nixon's label (XXX records) maintains this catalog and keeps this goth treasure in print.
Shadow Project's 2nd December 21, 2002 Dreams For The Dying is Shadow Project's 2nd album. It is a good album, with Rozz Williams beautiful vocals and Eva's excellent guitar playing. Shadow Project adventures into more experimental territory and they do it beautifully.
