Ultimate space rock dynamics. February 26, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Finally we get to see what made Chrome stand outside all standard Rock and New Wave formats, and excel in their own timewarped space rock psychedelia. Just incredible to experience the music and visuals for Meet You In The Subway, and New Age - now nearly 30 years later! The best is to actually see the outtakes where Damon Edge bumps his head and starts laughing in the middle of all the serious weirdness. This connects the humanity of these musical spearheads. Helios Creed offers us a look into a Chrome tour sans Damon, and you can feel all the power of "Armageddon" pulsing through this somewhat bootleg style concert footage. Bonus footage from Helios and the Chrome timeline make this a must have. If you can get any Chrome music into your life you'll be blessed, and this DVD is just a taste of their genius.
Chrome & Helios Creed - 'Dual Forces' (MDV) Running time: 43 minutes October 5, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Nice little Chrome / Helios Creed retrospect DVD. Features four 'original' Chrome videos from 1980-83, "New Age", "Meet You In The Subway" {maybe their most memorable}, "Danger Zone" and the unreleased "Firebomb". Also has three Helios videos - "Your Spaceman", the awesome "Sandbox Jungle" and "Rant". As well as some live footage from the 1998 Chrome reunion, where at this point of course Helios takes over on vocals. Last, anything but least some scenes of his most recent club tour from 2006. Almost forgot to mention the extras of humorous out-takes of a Chrome video shoot and band discography. True Chrome fans will love this DVD.
