Editorial Reviews:

Album Description
"Syncope is easily the best release by Tactical Sekt to date. The beats are heavier than a ten-ton boulder, and offer a nice amount of variety ... once again shows why Tactical Sekt are in the upper echelon of the harsh electro genre." - VIRUS-MAG.COM

COP International is proud to present Tactical Sekt and their new album Syncope. The band has established themselves in the last couple of years as one of the top ten bands in the genre. There is a great deal of anticipation for this album, and it certainly will not let anyone down! Tactical Sekt's newest offering of harsh electro is already burning up alternative dance floors worldwide. Syncope (named for a loss of consciousness caused by a sudden reduction in blood to the brain) is the amazing follow-up to the extremely popular Geneticide and Burn Process CDs, and features twelve tracks with ultimate club compatibility - thundering, razor-edged, complex, and well-structured songs with strong distorted vocals, precise breaks, pounding bass drums, and their trademark catchy melodies. Syncope is a superb album that easily exceeds expectations and strongly underlines why Tactical Sekt is considered one of the hottest artists in the dark electro scene.

Excellent album through and through. The beats are huge and hard, the songs have momentum, and, most importantly, melodies. I love the works of the bands that seem to have come up in the wake of Suicide Commando (hellectro or noise terror or whatever you want to call it), but Tactical Sekt are definitely a stand out. The album actually works as an album, and the songs are memorable, with smart uses of trance elements mixed in. Harsh distorted vocals like these can sometimes be a weakness in that one band can blur into the next (careful listening shows otherwise, but I think people understand what I mean), but Tactical Sekt adds enough melody line and enough of the voice to come through to make a difference. Add to that intelligent sampling (and a welcome sense of humor in one particular instance) and lyrics that are actually worth figuring out (though sometimes impossible--lyrics would be welcome) and you have a winner. This album starts wonderfully furiously and never lets up from there. No filler and not a track that one doesn't want to dance through. And if you can get the double disc version, you get 8 songs that are almost up to the album's level in their own right. How many times is the bonus disc that good? A high mark for this realm.
