| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Hailing from Houston Texas, Devin The Dude is ready to put the game on notice with his first post Rap-A-Lot offering, Smoke Sessions Vol. 1. This CD will be no surprise to all the Devin fans all around the globe as he keeps it clever with his melodically and whimsical punch-lines throughout this new CD. This collection of tracks is just what the streets needed to get over the dull lull that has somehow plagued the Southern rap market in the most recent years.

Nice mixtape from Devin May 8, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Devin returns a year after his last album with a nice mixtape, though I like his 4 solo albums better, this is still high quality. There is no way that Devin could ever disappoint whether it be an album, mixtape, or just a verse. The man is hilarious and has a style unlike no other. On this one you get 12 songs and a few hilarious skits. 4 of the songs are Devin solo's and 2 he isn't on, so the guests are heavy, but still it's always a treat hearing form the Dude. I'd say about 4 of the songs are average, the rest being good or great. As always alot of songs about smoking, drinking, and of course, Women. A must have album from one of my favorites.
#1 9.5 (J-Blaze -- no Devin but very tight over a tight beat) #2 (absolutely hilarious skit from Devin) #3 - 8 (f/ Jugg Mugg & Rob Quest) #4 - 7.5 #5 - 6.5 (f/ Drissola) #6 - (another short funny skit from Devin) #7 - 8.5 (f/ Baby Girl) #8 - 7.5 #9 - 8.5 #10 (another funny skit) #11 - 9 (f/ Jugg Mugg & Rob Quest -- nice beat) #12 - 6 (14 K -- no Devin) #13 - 8 (f/ SK, Dudi Mac, Daraja, 1-3, Preach, Rob Quest, Jugg Mugg) #14 - 9 #15 - 8 (f/ Jugg Mugg, K.B., Warren Lee) #16 (outro with Devin singing)

Top of the game April 9, 2008 My friends introduced my to Devin the Dude not too long ago and I absolutely love his work. The originality and humor is what sets him apart from other Houston natives. Smoke Sessions volume 1 is by far Devin at the top of his game. I even bought two of SS vol. 1. One for my car and one for the crib.
