5 out of 5 stars Perfect Hip-Hop for Imperfect Times   October 31, 2008

I gotta disagree with Al G. This record is the ONE. The single "Don't Stop the Movement" speaks perfectly to the times...especially with the election and current social conditions. This record is BEYOND passionate and the beats are actually BETTER than Sonic Jihad, IMO.

A lot of folks like Sonic Jihad because it was so politically conscious. This record appears to be more socially focused. I would give it 6 stars if I could! EXCELLENT WORK.

3 out of 5 stars A little disappointed   October 29, 2008

I purchased the cd yesterday and was anxious to see if it was as good or better than Sonic Jihad. Sonic Jihad is my favorite album so after 5 years i was hoping to get a new fix of Paris. The message is there, the lyrics are there, however the beats and the passion i thought was lacking from the last cd. IT seems rather rushed and i was hoping to hear more detailed attacks about the corrupt system.

Only songs i like were

Tracks 4,5,8, and 10. The others did not move me as well as those 4 tracks.

Jihad is stil the best album ever created, but as far as acid reflex. I wish he would have tried a little harder on the beats and more detailed material about Obama, Bush, Cheney, Amerikkka.

5 out of 5 stars awesome new record; political as hell   November 3, 2008
if you are reading this then i'm going to assume you already know paris. well he hasn't changed a lick on this record. if you are a fan then you will love these new tracks. if my assumption is wrong then compare this man's music to public enemy, dead prez and immortal technique

4 out of 5 stars Pretty good   December 9, 2008
this is a pretty good listen if you like Paris, or even if you are new to his music. his lyrics are always thought provoking and on point. the reason I only gave it four stars is because it seems like some of the songs are recycled with updated lyrics? in other words, starting to sound repetitive to those of us that have his previous offerings. still love my man Paris, but he kinda needs to update his sound.
