Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Beautiful remix of the suprisingly accesable "Nothing Stays" from SP/FLA project Cyberaktif!   December 27, 2005

While the Album Version of "Nothing Stays" from Cyberaktif's only full-length album "Tenebrae Vision" (dark vision) [see my other reviews] is superb, in and of itself, it does rely a little heavy-handedly on the movie dialogue samples that both Skinny Puppy and Front Line Assembly were well known for throughout the 80's and 90's.

However, this Remix (and shortened "Version" of the Remix) of "Nothing Stays" are downright beautiful. The perfect blend of the best elements of FLA and Puppy. Becuase of this, this single, as much as, and perhaps even more than the full album, is a "must own" for fans of both bands and their multitude of sideprojects, as well as any fan of dark moody electronic music.

The two "b-sides" are most definately b-side material. While not bad by any means, they are what most would call "good background music."
"Black + White" is good dark aggressive electronic music but it doesn't really stand out from the more effective album tracks.
"On The Reign" begins with trademark Key/Goettel ambience, a radio being tuned randomely while dark electronic music swells threatingly deep in the background, then the song breaks into an up tempo aggro beat with Leeb's harsh whisper/scream vocals.

Buy it now, you won't regret it.

Voice + Lyrics ---- Wilhelm Shroeder (a.k.a. Bill Leeb)
Programming + Music ---- Key / Goettel
