Editorial Reviews:

Album Description
Consisting primarily of vocalist Amy Lee and guitarist/ songwriter Ben Moody, Evanescence have taken the charts by storm in 2003. After appearing as the standout cut on the Daredevil movie soundtrack, their smash-hit 'Bring me to life' took on a life of it's own and helped bring national exposure to this band whose popularity continues to go from strength to strength. Now 'Maximum Evanescence' tells the whole story of how a tough schedule of constant touring, paying dues and sheer talent helped this unique genre defying band achieve superstar status almost overnight.

2 out of 5 stars Not unless your a total fan   January 19, 2005

This is not a CD of songs - don't be fooled. This is a reading of an unauthorised biography and doesn't even use Evanescence as the background music. If you are a total fan and want something about the band, but not by the band, go ahead. I know I love the music and would not have purchased this if I knew it was not a music CD.

3 out of 5 stars After Midnight, The DVD Is Better   September 30, 2005

First of all this is one of the unofficial biography releases that are done by "Chrome Dreams". I would recomend that instead of buying this CD you get the DVD "After Midnight". It was also done by "Chrome Dreams" but is alot more recent. On this CD (and the DVD) they can't use official music (even for the background) because that would break copy right. Most info on the CD can be found on the internet though in less detail and you'd have to piece little bits of info together. this CD isn't a must for a fan but After Midnight is.

4 out of 5 stars Pretty good- Lots of good info on Evanescence   May 16, 2005

I got this as a Chirstmas gift from my older bro. I was a little upset at first when I learned it was a biography. But when i got further into it, I realized there was a lot i dind't know about Evanescence ( For an example, when Amy was younger, she used to love attention. She would pretend that she was dieing. That made me laugh ^_^)

Overall, this is a great thing to have if you want to know more about Evanescence. It's worth you're money
