Album Description 2008 release from the San Marcos, California-based Metal heads. Austrian Death Machine is fast, pissed, brutal and every song has a guitar solo. You won't find fantasy lyrics or overly poetic personal jargon. There are only forcefully chanted, testosterone driven phrases that our sweet governor Arnold would approve of.

Metal Head or Not, Everyone Should Own This July 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This cd, created by Tim Lambesis of As I Lay Dying is the ultimate tribute to the Governator, Arnold Schwarzenegger. This cd is packed with hilarious tracks including lines from classic Arnie films as lyrics. Heavy guitar riffs and solo's are included, and great drums. This cd is a must have for everyone, even if you don't like metal, because it is a very funny cd.
GET TO DA CHOPPA IF YOU WANT TO LIVE WITH YOUR DADDY'S TOOOMAH! July 28, 2008 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
I wasn't sure about this CD, mostly because it is Tim Lambesis' pet project and I am not a fan of As I Lay Dying.
I sampled some tracks from Metal Blade's website last night and was impressed enough to pick it up today. The music here is straightforward, up-tempo, melodic thrash full of blazing guitar solos and is relatively devoid of any pretense.
I think any comparisons one might draw between this album and "The Dethalbum" are pretty spot-on. The vocals are intelligible enough that you can interpret them, and if you don't bust a gut at least a couple of times, you're not paying attention.
The only real problem I have with this album is the spoken-word "Ahnold" tracks. Whoever they hired to do the Arnold voice had it all wrong. It wasn't even close. I understand that it's a big joke and all, but for Pete's sake, if you're going to make a CD full of Arnold Schwarzenegger impressions, get someone who can actually do one. They could have paid Frank Caliendo five chili dogs and a twelve pack of Budweiser to lay down a better impersonation than the clown that actually did it.
Just a thought.
Looked good August 4, 2008 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I love Arnold Schwarzenegger action movies and metal, will this be a match made in Heaven? Nope. The songs are decent and the best song was the opening tune Get To The Chopper. I agree with the one review who stated the voice for Arnold Schwarzenegger was very weak and off key. He should have gotten clearance to use the real voice or choose someone better then this dude. There is a few funny moments but nothing worth checking out.
Awesome! July 22, 2008 I have to say, im not a huge fan of metal, but every now and then something comes along that grabs me. Metalocalypse for example, maybe its just a cartoon band done by real guys but its good stuff. This is one of those, especially the fact that Tim Lambesis wrote the entire album in less than and hour and just did it for fun says a lot. This album is funny and the music is great.
This is sad July 26, 2008 How sad is it that a man can put a hour in to making something thats suppose to be funny and totally not serious and still be better than some of todays metal bands. This is just straight up metal, nothing else but fun, thrashy and hilarious metal. Its like the dethklok album in terms of its brutal riffs and funny lyrics so fans of it wont be disappointed. I wouldn't say that this is essential for a metal fan or anything as it does get kinda dumb at times. But it is a nice break from the usual.
