Disc One is an eight song CD and Disc Two is a full length DVD: Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli grew up in Lajatico, a rural village in Tuscany, where his family still farms nearby. Last July, on the slopes of his ancient hill town, a special theater was constructed for a one-night-only concert of his greatest popular hits along with new songs performed to honor the occasion. Some famous musical friends dropped by and the magical result is Andrea Bocelli Vivere Live in Tuscany. Joining Andrea for the new songs are grandissimo sassofonista Kenny G, trumpeter Chris Botti, piano virtuoso Lang Lang, Italian pop star Eliza, and legendary musician, songwriter and producer David Foster. Helping with the hits: favorite divas Sarah Brightman, Heather Headley and Laura Pausini. Surveying the breathtaking landscape that provides the backdrop for the festivities, Bocelli introduces the telecast with the passion of a true Toscano. It s my land, he says, a land that loves silence as much as I do. If I break this silence with my voice, it s because I want to pay tribute. Music penetrates this land; it flows across it and flies off far away. It s a message of love. Musical highlights include the song that launched Bocelli s career, Il Mare Calmo Della Sera ; the one that brought him international stardom, Time to Say Goodbye, in duet with Sarah Brightman; Laura Pausini joining him for Dare to Live ( Vivere ); Bocelli and Heather Headley reprising the popular Vivo Per Lei, plus several new selections from the just-released The Best of Andrea Bocelli - Vivere album (Sugar Music/Decca). Also featured is a meltingly romantic medley of songs from his 2006 collection, Amore: Besame Mucho, Somos Novios ( It s Impossible ) and I Can t Help Falling in Love with You.

A Wonderful CD - DVD SET!!!!!!! January 30, 2008

Even though this is a CD DVD set the real deal is the DVD, its a full length concert, Bocelli's record company releases these concerts as a DVD CD set and a CD DVD set, the only difference is size of packaging, This is the smaller CD size packaging. If you want the DVD size packaging that is available as well.
This concert was recorded in Bocelli's Home town in Tuscany and is in a beautiful outdoor setting. The songs are all the songs from his new Hits collection which onclude 5 new songs and different versions of some of his hits. Andrea Bocelli, is the world's most popular tenor (and Best selling) and pop sensation as well, This set is all pop (crossover), Though some of it has a classical feel to it.
The DVD include a nice selection of some of Bocelli's best work Bocelli has a very beautiful voice, that expresses much emotion. His tone and diction are excellent and his Volume is much better then the critics claim, he voice is always moving, his singing touches one's heart and goes right into ones soul. The tracks include Songo;; Canto Della Sera duet with Sarah Brightman; a Medley, (Besame mucho \ Somos novios - It's impossible \ Can't Help Falling In Love); Time to Say Goodbye-Con Te Partino; (with Sarah Brightman), Vivo Per Lei- duet with Heather Headley; Melodrama; The Prayer- duet with Heather Headley; and Because We Believe; a new English/Italian version of Vivere called Dear To Live with Laura Pausani a popular Italian singer; A wonderful song called La Voce Del Silenzio duet with Elisa; a beautiful song called A TE featuring Kenny G on saxophone; A very cool classical sounding song with Lang Lang, on Piano, called IO CI SARO; and another new song, very contemporary, called BELLISSIME STELLE which may be my favorite song of the new songs. Also doen with Chris Botti is Italia a new song written by David Foster and on Botti's new album with Andrea questing on vocals, and it is a beautiful song.
The Audio CD has 7 songs Italia, live version featuring Chris Botti; La Voce Del Silenzio, featuring Elisa; Medley, (Besame mucho \ Somos novios - It's impossible \ Can't help falling in love) Live version; Canto Della Terra, featuring Sarah Brightman; Mille Lune Mille Onde; Se La Gente Usasse Il Cuore; and Domani, one of my favorite songs.
This is a great DVD/CD set for any Bocelli fan, for the fan because it is beautiful and has the 6 new songs (5 new and one alternative version, Plus different partners on the Duets). And is a great set for new fans because it has many of his hits. This would be a good first DVD/CD set for someone new to Bocelli.

His Vivere Alabum is the most powerful and romantic voicee as himslef, But His DVD Vivere Live Concert in His Hometown is more romantic and more entertained with more talents super-star to join him... It is really great DVD Concert for all family members... AND HIS MUSIC NO NEED TO TRANSLATE.

I purchased this as a Valatines's Day gift for my wife and she was very pleased. It's a great, quality CD and even comes with a Video DVD filmed at the live event! A nice bonus! Thanks

Vivere Live in Tuscany (DVD) Was beautifully done. The countryside, the lake. the stage and lights were spectacular and of course ANDREA BOCELLI
sang beautifully. His guests were impressive. It made me wish I were in Tuscany for the performance.

I absolutely loved this DVD/CD set of Andrea Bocelli in Italy. Background footage is fabulous as well as the setting and all the guests. Andrea himself is amazing. If you like Andrea Bocelli and this type of music, you will love this set. I highly recommend.
