A great choice May 19, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
My children are ages 3 and 9 and both of them love this CD for different reasons. My 3 year old likes to bounce along; my 9 year old likes the funny lyrics in 789 and the alphabet song. I predict this CD will remain in our car CD player for a looooong time.

This is the first time I've been inspired to write a review on Amazon. I get to listen to a lot of kids music with my 4 year old and this is by far my favorite. To my amazement its also hers (okay I know she'll change her mind in a few weeks). No offense to The Wiggles but if I hear Big Red Car again I'm going to lose it. I can't imagine ever saying that about any of the songs on this album. Some of the slower ones aren't quite as fun but all the others more than make up for them. Also some of the slower ones are awesome. This album has allowed me to introduce my daughter to the rest of the BNL catalog and I'm hoping this will lead to other "adult" bands. All this fun music and I also finally get to find out the favorite snack of the lead singer of my other favorite Canadian band.

Many good songs for my 4 yr. old & hopefully more as he grows. Catchy & spirited tunes.

I've been a BNL fan for quite some time now, but don't have any kids. Usually, I run out and get a new BNL album when there is one - I was a bit slow on the uptake here as well as for Barenaked Ladies Are Me.
I wasn't disappointed that time, but this time I was, not knowing that this is a children's album. That's all well and good for parents or younger folks, but I wasn't expecting this and as a result, I wish I'd looked to see what kind of album this was before I got it. It's a good album for kids and parents, but it was somewhat disappointing for me, since I was expecting more of the same. Some of the tracks are fun, but on the whole it was a forgettable album.
That said, if I do have children, I'll have to pick this one up again, and I'm looking forward to BNL's next offering for adults.
The Best BNL since Gordon May 9, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is the best BNL release-adult or kid-since Gordon. After listening just once I had that same 'gotta share this with everyone I know so they can feel good too' feeling I had with Gordon. I don't even care if my 3 year old likes it or not. I'm going to listen to it until it wears out, then I'm gonna buy another one.
