Alan Jackson's sparsely produced Gospel collection "Precious Memories" was given to me as a gift from another a cappela church member, and I have listened to it nearly unceasingly since I received it nearly 24 hours ago. The clean, unadorned beauty of Jackson's voice evokes the unadulterated simplicity of a first century church, when Christians gathered to "..make a joyful noise unto the Lord." While it's a departure from his usual musical offerings, this album is a gift to both his Mother and to believers everywhere.

If you're looking for some uplifting music, this is the album you need to get! Alan Jackson presents these old time hymns with feeling. You can't go wrong when you buy this CD.

What a blessing! My children are huge fans of Alan Jackson and they are now singing these priceless hymns. They are learning the sweet message of love from the gospel. This is a gift for people of all ages.

Alan Jackson does a wonderful job singing these precious hymns that used to be sung so often in church. I have played the CD over and over and am truly touched each time. His voice is pure and gentle and you can really hear his love for the Lord in each song. I think everyone should own this CD!!!!

Absolutely Beautiful! There's no better way that I can describe it.
The thing that impresses me the most is that all of the songs are pure; he doesn't try to make them his own by adding some extra splash (that always takes away from the song). The only place that I know that you'll hear a prettier version is in some small churches around Shawnee Oklahoma.
This one will be a favorite for a long time to come.
