PRAISE AT ITS BEST July 31, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I AM SO HAPPY THAT THIRD SAY RELEASED ANOTHER CD! I HAVE BEEN WAITING-AND THE WAIT WAS WORTH IT! YOU KNOW HOW SOMETIMES YOU BUY A CD AND ONLY LIKE ONE OR TWO SONGS?- I LOVE EVERY SONG ON REVELATION. IT MINISTERED TO MY HEART FROM THE FIRST SONG TO THE LAST. THANK YOU THIRD DAY- YOU ARE SUCH A BLESSING. KEEP DOING GODS WORK AND KEEP PEOPLE THINKING ABOUT HOW THEY CAN DO GODS WORK TOO.
Greatest Album of Third Day Ever! July 31, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I was eagerly anticipating this album since i had downloaded the single Call My Name back in June. I have to admit that I was a more than a little frustated that Jay Leno on the Tonight Show had a copy of Revelation before I received it. Did any of you watch the Tonight Show? Third Day had to get past all the secular guests firsthand but it was worth it. They rocked the house! I listened to this album yesterday while heading down to Wakefield's Weather Office and found I couldn't stop listening to it! If you think Call My Name is as good as it gets, I recommend buying the whole album. Third Day's creativity and style for each song will blow you away! Robert Randolph really adds a lot of southern flavor to this band and is part of a great new direction for Third Day. I miss Brad Avery, of course, but Randolph has really matched or exceeded the void left when Brad left. Listened to it 3 times already! Must buy!
What can I say... August 4, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is the BEST Third Day album. Some will only agree to disagree but I'll say it again this is the BEST work Third Day has ever done to date. It's solid.
By far Third Day's best album August 5, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This, by far, is Third Day's best album. I couldn't pick a single song on this album that I don't like. It's full of wonderful wisdom. Switching producer led to a richer, better sound, and outstanding harmonies. I can highly recommend this album to anyone liking contemporary music, rock, guitars, and/or good Christian music. Can't stop listening to it...
somewhat disappointing July 30, 2008 1 out of 8 found this review helpful
I've got to brag that I'm one of the biggest third day fans but more over the biggest fan of Mark lee and Brad Averys guitar style, being a guitarist their style has help better my style and skill, but the last 2 third day albums have greatly disappointed me, including this one. I mean its great sound but, its just not as experimental as say Wire or Offerings 2 was. What I mean to say was Wire was thinking outside the box, and they seem to have gone back to their comfort zone. The album is great but it wont last but a couple of weeks and then the newness will have worn away and just reside in my collection of third day albums. the song sound great , produced well I think. I like the similarities in the cover with radioheads "hail to the thief" album. The best song has to be "I will always be true" and "Give love". But I'm sorry though nothing will stand out anymore than that for me. Where are songs like "Its a Shame" and "wire" or how about another "I dont know" those songs will go down as the best third day songs, but I dont think any here will at all.
