brilliant... May 8, 1998 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
weather it's oliver stone's taste in music or trent reznor's gift for timing and song interaction, this album has not only become one of my favorite soundtracks, but one of the cds i am proudest to own. it may take seeing the movie(which is also brilliant) to fully appreciate. it's also the most ecclectic thing i've ever heard.
A very crazy and good Soundtrack. January 12, 1999 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I liked the movie a lot when I saw it, and the CD just happens to capture the mood of madnes of the film (If I were a serial killer I'd be Mickey Knox) well just joking, but I recommend this CD to all the lovers of Hard Rock. Buy the movie too.
Great CD April 30, 2001 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
A great album put together by the very tallented Trent Reznor from Nine Inch Nails.
Edits detract from this soundtrack compilation. July 30, 2001 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a great collection of songs but several of them are edited to include voiceovers from the movie. I wish I'd paid more attention and been aware of that before I bought the CD. Maybe some people will enjoy it, but I find it annoyingly intrusive. I don't know if it was Trent Reznor's choice or if he was asked to include the dialogue, but it was a pretty stupid decision.
An almost perfect soundtrack March 27, 2002 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is an almost perfect soundtrack. The music captures the insanity of the film. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, however, because the two rap songs don't seem to fit. The great thing about Cd's is that if you don't like something, you can program it out when you play it. So, when you listen to this, if you get rid of "The day the niggers took over" and "What would you do?", you hve yourself a 5 star soundtrack. The movie bites between the songs are an added bonus.
