About night at the roxbury January 17, 2000 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
A great old and new dance mix of music , very exciting and puts you in a party atmosphere yet they missed : " everybody hurts " which was in the movie , that was my disappointment.

It has all the songs. If you liked the movie, get it. The songs blend together so there are no overt stops, so it would make a good dance or party mix.
A Night At The Roxbury: Music From The Motion Picture [SOUND April 2, 2005 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
I am not usually one to write album reviews but after reading Frank C.'s titled "Absolutely Dreadful," I felt that it was my obligation to defend this cd. I will admit, it's not an absolute "must have" but if you find yourself pumping the volume while watching the movie, which by the way I absolutely love, then this cd should be a nice addition to your collection. Also, I think that the A Night At The Roxbury soundtrack showcases some great house music from the mid-90s club era. Additionally, may I suggest that if you do not own a copy of A Night At The Roxbury, then maybe you shouldn't be thinking about purchasing the soundtrack. More over, for Frank C., I feel bad that spent your money on this cd that you oh so did not like and the only reason you bought it was for Cyndi Lauper's version of Disco Inferno, which happens to be one of the only low points of the soundtrack. All in all, in answering the question of whether the album is good or not, I say, "Yes. It's a good cd." And Cyndi Lauper? Christ Frank, you ain't fooling nobody.
A great Movie Soundtrack February 3, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and knew I needed to purchase the accompanying motion picture soundtrack that features 14 great songs, 11 being on the movie and 3 remixes and additions. 'A Night At The Roxbury' is a great movie with a comedic twist. But there is no comedy attached to this massive soundtrack. The feature of the movie was "What is Love" which was the 7" Mix by Haddaway. The song is one of the strongest suits on this album. You have the well know favourites in this album like 'Bamboogie', 'Do Ya Think I'm Sexy', 'Be My Lover'. The well known singers La Bouche and Amber which made the techno scene rock in the 90's are featured with quality styled songs.
The last song on this album is the slowest song on the album but a real gorgeous song to listen to; Tamia's 'Careless Whisper'. If you were a fan of the movie, you will by far and away enjoy the soundtrack. So buy the album and add it to your collection. You won't be disappointed. I wasn't.
If you enjoyed the move, you must get the CD! April 4, 2000 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
After I saw A Night At The Roxbury, I knew I had to get the soundtrack. With many soundtracks, you will get most of the music of the same genre, and then one or two wacky songs that dont fit in at all. This is not the case with the Roxbury soundtrack. This music is right out of the 80's head bobbing dance scene.
