Excellent music, horrible compilation. August 6, 2008 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
Don't buy this, buy the individual albums instead, or better yet, actually support the band by going and seeing them in concert. They didn't put this together and it doesn't sound like anyone with even the slightest bit of an ear for flow did either as it sounds choppy to listen to the songs in this order. No money from this compilation goes to the band, it just goes into the wallets of EMI executives. Support the band, f*ck EMI!
Get it as a torrent! June 3, 2008 2 out of 15 found this review helpful
I did and its 256 KBS the songs have been remastered dont give money to EMI Thom and the guys didn't want this compilation to happen but its good for the older songs (especially from Pablo Honey) the remastering is really clean...even on idioteque things sound cleaner. if that makes any sense and i dont really think that needed to be done...but you know how record companies LOVE to remaster everything they get their hands on. RADIOHEAD IS THE BEST LIVE BAND EVER THANKS TO THEIR DALLAS SHOW A FEW WEEKS AGO!
Bringing the best on 2 cds. July 19, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
great buy!! Any Radiohead fan would love this compelation. Although is lacks a few of the "true" Radiohead songs (songs like Bishop's Robe, which I cannot find anywhere!!), it's nice to have all of the songs that the arists seem to like on one album (2) A must for any Radiohead fan!!
Stop All The Whining........ June 16, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I for one, always thought Radiohead stunk. I do own the CD "Kid A", so I know of them. But I thought this greatest hits CD was great because I can only hear their good songs instead of all the garbage inbetween. Besides I got the 2 CD set at a flea market for $2.50 and it was a good purchase for me, about 5 cents a song, which is about what their worth.
Uh- Yes and No June 18, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am completely bias- just thought I should come out and say that. I have some issues with this complied 2disc collection... 1. Radiohead did not release this work 2. Radiohead did not pick the songs 3. Radiohead did not select the order of the songs.(this collections does not flow well at all- unlike their albums do) 4. Their albums were not equally represented 5. MAJOR/IMPORTANT SONGS ARE MISSING!!!
Although the songs jump around from album to album-decade to decade, this 2disc collection would be a good start for someone who is a new fan of radiohead to get a feel for the band. But if you don't have OK Computer- you need to get your hands on it whether or not you buy this cd- DO IT.
If you are already a radiohead snob (as you should be) this cd is a waste of time- and you (should) already have all of this music.
