it's awesome January 11, 2000 I'm usually not a big fan of alternative music, but with this soundtrack, it all sounds good. The only song I don't like is the Bjork song, but everything else is awesome. My favorite song is "Walking after You" by the Foo Fighters. This is the only album that lets me tolerate alternative music. I highly recommend it to any alternative music lover, even if you're not a fan of the X-files. And what's so great about this album is that the songs don't reflect any aspects of the show, except "Walking after You". To me, that song reflects Mulder and Scully.I highly recommend to all!
Mostly Great January 26, 2000 While most of the CD captures the feel of the show fine, there are some songs that don't seem to work. My favorites are Filter's "One", Ween's "Beacon Light", "Deuce" from The Cardigans, and the Soul Coughing song. While the Foo Fighters song is good alone, I don't think that it fits into the album well. Same with the Sting song. On a side note, the Noel Gallagher instrumental/techno is suprisingly good.
The album is as good as the movie... January 29, 2000 A wonderful variety of songs, each of which reflects the X-Files in it's own way.My favorites would have to be "Walking After You"- a beautiful song by the Foo Fighters, "One More Murder" by Better that Ezra, and Noel Gallagher's "Teotihuacan"- the all intrumental which played during the end credits of the movie. The only song I didn't like was "Hunter" by Bjork- just not my kind of music, I guess. Also, the secret track (at 1013) I found most intriguing. I have had this album for over a year, and still I am not tired of listening to it over and over again. I highly recommend it to all X-Philes.
This soundtrack is really different than any other cd May 4, 2000 The X-Files Fight the Future soundtrack is really good, I think. My favorite song on the album is the Foo Fighters "Walking After You." It is so perfect for Mulder and Scully. I also like the songs by Ween, Filter, and the X Files theme by the Dust Brothers. The only ones I don't ever listen to are the songs by Sting, X, and Bjork. It's just not my kind of music. I've had this CD for about a year and a half and I really recommend it to all the die-hard fans out there. I LOVE THE X FILES!
Captures spirit of X-Files wonderfully, little too upbeat June 23, 1998 I recently bought the X-Files soundtrack, and I gotta tell you, if you're a fan of the series, you'll love it! I noticed a lot of underlying themes of being alone, abandonment, etc. (Haven't seen the movie, don't know if that has to do with it.) With the possible exception of track three. I personally thought it would be alot darker, and didn't enjoy songs w/such a happy beat (Invisible Sun, Crystal Ship, 16 Horses), but all in all a TERRIFIC cd! Go get it!
