4 out of 5 stars For people who like good music...   June 5, 2003

First off, "akashaxxa" has no clue what he's talking about. He says, and I quote, "Let me say this loud and clear: This single is NOT for the mass of new fans brought in by BMtL who already have 'Fallen' or the DareDevil soundtrack. ...", but then, in the next paragraph, he says, "So who should be buying this 4-track cd? Those who only want a cd copy of BMtL and not either of the above mentioned albums, and the original fans." Is it just me or did that contradict his first statement completely??? If your a fan of BMtL than this isn't for you however, if you want it, it is for you. lol That makes zero sense. Second, not all of us got the chance to see them in concert in Little Rock, Arkansas. With that being said, how else are we supposed to hear about them other than the songs that are out there on the radio? You became a fan exactly the same way we did. You heard their music and you were interested so you check in to them and buy their cd's. You just did it earlier. Thirdly, yes, this band sounds similar to Linkin Park....only because they are the SAME type of music. This is not Linkin Park with a female singer. Evanescence is more emotional and sharper in their guitar riffs and altogether sound. Finally, those of you who say that all of their tracks sound similar to each other have obviously no common sense. Every band/singer/songwriter's songs all sound similar to each other. There's a certain sound in all of Evanescence's songs that's distinct from say POD's or Korn or whomever you wish to compare them to. Each band has it's own distinct sound in every song. Thank you, lol sorry for the venting, this is a great band, support them.

4 out of 5 stars Don't need to be an original fan to enjoy   June 10, 2003

Okay look, this original fan crap is just a bit bothersome. This cd rocks, and you don't have to be a fan that has followed the band since the late 90's to know that. The tracks Farther Away and Missing are absolutely awesome and (in all honesty) should not have been left off of the Fallen release. And as for the versions of BMtL, the Bliss mix is by far the better of the two...but that's my opinion because I don't like 12 Stones.

Honestly though, if you enjoy the Fallen cd alot...and have downloaded many of Evanescence's earlier tracks (from "Origin" or the '99 release "EP") as I have, you are sure to like this cd. Yes it is only four songs...but tracks 2 through 4 are worth it...especially if you love this band. (Finally a band who knows how to make good music...and they don't sound like Creed or Green Day or Pearl Jam!!!).

5 out of 5 stars Not a single, an extension   June 6, 2003

I have been a fan of Evanescence for a long time as well, yes I know who Gabe is, yes I love Exodus, and the board.....bad bad times. Anyway, this CD is well worth the price, me, I would pay alot more for it, and I am very lacking in funds. Missing and Farther Away are so good. And the fact that they were cut is just...wrong. Now, the Bliss mix is without Paul McCoys vocals, which i like, but I discovered that the Bliss mix is really good for singing along with. At least thats what I do. So all in all this CD is well worth the money, I dont even consider it a single, its an extension of Fallen....

5 out of 5 stars Wake me up inside (save me)!   August 30, 2003

Dramatic song with wonderful
female voice and background
male voice well-combined.
Aggressive, sensible,
dramatic, drum, piano & guitar.
"Bring me to life" is a top hit
with emotion. It's about
loneliness and the need for
protection when you feel cold
and dead inside.

4 out of 5 stars Makes you want more   November 16, 2003

I first started hearing the song on the radio, then heard it was the theme to the Ben Affleck movie "Daredevil". Then it went to number 1 in the charts for four weeks! Amy Lee has the most fantastic voice ever, its really husky, and she can sure hit the notes! I've only ever seen clips of the video, and it shows her in a bed, and then climbing up the side of a building! She's also really pretty too.

The lyrics to this song really hit you, when she starts singing them.

Evanescence have certainly had a lot of publicity thanks to this track being used in Daredevil. They've done well for themselves, their album is doing brilliantly, and they will certainly keep riding high in the charts.
