A great dark romance soundtrack November 1, 2003 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
whooo hooo..... this album from Voltaire is veerryyyy goood. It has unique sound, an the most important is it's lyrics. ranging from Vampire to a necrophilia. Ewwww.... so sick. But the music itself is.... mmmmm what can I say? quite unusual?. A Gypsy style folk? So if you want to hear something new, buy this CD!!
Pretty good stuff March 18, 2005 2 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is not the kind of goth i was thinking of. voltaire has a bit of a weird sense of humor.
The song i like the most is BRAINS!!!!!! witch was in a episode of the grim adventures of Billy and Mandy.
Voltaire Is Full Of ... Voltaire! May 29, 2002 1 out of 28 found this review helpful
I actually think the album is way too full of Voltaire's personal problems. His other albums were catchy and fun with great violins and smooth lyrics. Although I didn't like It I expected to fall in love with it more at Projekt Fest when hearing it played live. I only found that this once talented artist and idol was nothing but full of himself and his problems. Low enough to even proposition anything that passed weither it had a boyfriend or not. How disrespectful to his fans. And how broken hearted I feel for loyal fans. Boo Hoo to this CD. Let me know when you are over yourself to move on to good music and when you are done insulting random fans at after parties with stupid ... comments... oh and when your done hitting on some fans girlfriends. Ha she said no, along with many more. Make music for the masses and your outlet, not just for your problems. No one wants to hear whining on such an expensive piece of plastic. Wait for this one kiddies, buy the first two first. I'll buy the next one when he decides to loose the attitude. For now, he lost a loyal fan. But nothing is unforgivable.
All Is Fair In Love & WarAnd In This Corner... A great CD August 2, 2002 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
To Dissapointed: I spoke direct to Voltaire at Projekt Fest as well but, got an ear full of witty one liners aimed at me. Voltaire jokes with only those he likes and likes to pick on (in a fun way). I don't think he would waste time on picking on someone he didn't like. At least I took it as bonding/fun. I can't dish it out so I have to take it. The same is in this CD. He poked at someone he loved to get over a lot of pain. His experience is beyond my realm of love, however in these songs, you can identify his time and energy spent on a love gone bad. We've all been there at one time or another. You have to have loved and lost to respect it but, can enjoy this no matter what. I suggest the whole voltaire catalog. His live band is excellent and very friendly. Even with his one liners that may sting, I believe it's all in love no matter what was done or said. However I do hope that things get better for him soon. ~Ittsy Bittsy~ He'll know who I am.
But really... December 15, 2002 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
A good album sir, not my favourite but good. May I say that I would much rather watch you freestyle at dragoncon any day.-Seductress
