5 out of 5 stars Another show I missed.......again   January 16, 2007

I would actually rate this about a 4.5 due to the video quality. Some of the camera shots are not great and the skipping around can be a little annoying sometimes. Some of the cameras are operated by people in the audience and you can tell which ones pretty easy. It is a nice idea that just did not cut it......

Overall the music is great and with Porl rejoining his mates, it makes it a kind of homecomming. No complaints at all on the main part of the show.

The music is awesome and Smith sounds as good as ever. I loved the whole set. This is not as good as Trilogy, but ranks up there with Live in Orange.

5 out of 5 stars Some Help Please*****   April 21, 2007

Can Someone please give me some feedback as to why there is a "parental advisatory" labeled on the DVD ??? "I have heard someone refer's to Robert Smith as 'Robert Palmer' and a remark is made by someone, "F*** Robert Palmer, whether this is a fan or Smith(Which would be understandable as the two are not even on the same parallel. Not taking anything away from Robert Palmer, ROBERT SMITH is An artist well acomplished in every sense of the word!!! As the other members of the CURE are to. Unique in everything they do, the only thing repitious about THE CURE is everything they do is different and mind-boggeling. I WOULD SUGGEST EVERYONE START DEMANDING THEY DO AN EXCLUSIVE "VIDEO COLLECTION" as with "GALORE" the Video Hits for Re-Release including all of the latest "Taking Off", "Alt. End", "The End of the World",[excuse me, but I have heard so many so called "CURE Fan's" complain about their album, self titled "The Cure" 2004 I'm sick of it, If you are a fan, Then this album, desever's 5 STAR"S plus 5 STAR"S for each of the song's on the album. I thought "Greatest Hit's" was the Finale. "Thank God for this album - Fantastic!!!!! All the new artists and releases in 2004 - "BANG" The End Of The World was the best video and song in 2004. The video's to all their songs have a way of catering to all the fans as everyone interpets them differently but as always they still hit the nail on the head with each. Parents be Advised !!! If your children hear this group and their music, their rap will be CRAP as they will find out MUSIC IS AN ART!!! Cursing, Profanity, Insults, derogratory comments towards women or race, won't be found here. This is what MUSIC was meant to be. LET THE LISTENER DECIDE.

5 out of 5 stars brilliant despite poor image quality   September 25, 2007
I didn't expect the cure to be this great without a keyboarder! they really rock. I wish I had been at one of these festivals! image quality is not the most professional thow - filmed by fans and crew. on some songs the video editor did a a pretty good job - like fascination street - but on others he was obviously stoned (simon is wearing different outfits during the same song...) and later he fell asleep completely (a single camera angle for minutes and minutes...)

2 out of 5 stars Not Impressed   December 12, 2007

I really like The Cure, saw them in concert many times since the early 80's, I even have other DVD's by them, but the quality on this one is not impressive. I really wish I didn't spend the money. I don't like how they shot the concert, it looks like a novice did it. The sound quality is ok, but not compariable to their other concert DVD's. I would pass on this one and buy Trilogy, that one is Awesome!!

5 out of 5 stars Great selection of songs and nicely filmed   April 17, 2008
Being a long time fan and having watched the Cure in Orange a couple dozen of times (I know that was almost 20 years ago,) this live is a great way to go through the band history in what they did best. The way they used the cameras makes the live not boring at all. Great job!
