Here For The Rest Of Us. November 1, 2007 57 out of 58 found this review helpful
Sometimes I think people like Paul Potts enter the collective psyche of the world to remind us that there is beauty in we human beings, even though a very troubled world leads us to believe the opposite. This humble man with the voice of an angel made me, a grown man who NEVER cries, weep like a baby. I saw his performance on Britian's Got Talent and was completely overcome. He's here for a reason, and we should all bathe in his humility and allow it to cleanse us the divisions and cynicism to which we often succumb.
Paul Potts is also an example to all those who think they are "insignifant" (as he once did) that they have value. A remarkable man with a stupendous gift!
This CD Will Not Disappoint September 18, 2007 47 out of 48 found this review helpful
I received my Import CD after following the story of Paul Potts for over 6 weeks. Although this CD was put together in less than a month after Paul Potts won the Britain's Got Talent competition it is well done. I seldom find an album worth listening to every song. This CD is different.
My favorite tracks are Nessun Dorma, Time To Say Goodbye, Caruso, Nella Fantasia, and Cavatina to name a few. I could have easily named them all. Music of the Night was another wonderful track. With the accompaniment of the London Symphony Orchestra (most songs), Paul's voice will penetrate your heart and rest in your soul.
This is not an album to use as background music, but rather to sit in an easy chair or recliner with your favorite beverage and prepare to travel to a place where the mundane activities of daily life will not matter, where you will be lifted up and set free.
The import CD has minor technical flaws but they were easy to overlook with the overall quality of this work. If you like classical, opera crossover music you will appreciate this album. If you have never listened to this type of music before then it is time to give it "One Chance" and join Paul Potts on his "bus journey to Never-Never-Land".
The domestic version of the album includes two bonus tracks, O Holy Night and Silent Night. I am looking forward to Paul's next album and seeing him perform live in concert, and in an opera if the opportunity exists.
Suspended Belief! September 21, 2007 42 out of 42 found this review helpful
Since I received this CD on a pre-sale from the UK, I am still staggering in unbelief at how beautiful this brit's voice is and what it does to my mood when I listen to this music..I am utterly tranported every time I hit play on my CD player. The human race has been blessed by this angelic music, brought to us as a preview of heaven itself.
Recommendation: BUY!!!!!
Pure pleasure September 22, 2007 42 out of 42 found this review helpful
I loved and sobbed over the Cinderalla story of his win on Brit TV, singing Nessun Dorma, but speculated that he might be a "one hit wonder." Now I am listening to his CD and enjoying every bit of it. Lovely voice with great and sincere emotion. Go away, scoffers and doubters. Paul Potts is a genuine treasure.

I appreciate the range of voice this singer can capture. The range of voice, especially in the high register, is critical. Paul Potts has a divine vocal instrument and this is an especially good recording. This young man is deserving and will go places. His glorious voice has such deep emotion. You know he feels what he's singing. This man will be the next great "pop" opera star! We lost Pavarotti but now we have Paul. Bravo.
Highly recommended.
