One of the best industrial albums ever November 16, 2000 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
After hearing all of the alternative junk that's played on the radio, Funker Vogt's music is a much needed breath of fresh air. Execution Tracks is filled with pounding bass and intricate electronic music, just like Funker Vogt's previous releases. Not only is the music itself better than most American music, but the lyrics actually have meaning behind them. (another feature seriously lacking in American popular music). I have dubbed Funker Vogt the Metallica of electronic music in that alot of their lyrics are about war and the suffering caused by it, plus the fact I think that all of their albums are awesome. If you've never heard Funker Vogt before, Execution Tracks is a great album to introduce yourself to their sound. Get Execution Tracks to add some variety to your music collection. If you like what hear, check out Funker Vogt's latest album, Maschine Zeit, as well.

Incredible music for the soul January 30, 2000 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Do you want to dance? Do you want to let loose? Do you want to get rid of some stress building inside? Forget about what is "industrial, ebm, dance, techno, ect..." this is music for the soul! Get out there and be free. A must have album for any person interested in hard, aggressive, melodic, and perfectly written music.
A great CD !!! March 12, 1999 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
For this album, Funker Vogt has done what few other industrial bands have ventured to do. They have put the major distortion associated with industrial music on the back burner, and created an electronic masterpiece. On Execution Tracks, Funker Vogt creates a layer of techno effects, and intertwines it within a strong industrial foundation. The music would not be complete without the distorted, growling vocals of Jens Kaestel, which seem to fit nicely into the already pounding music.
Synths improved, Lyrics grew worse August 5, 2002 1 out of 6 found this review helpful
A trend with Funker Vogt is definitly that the music sounds better as the band progresses. From "Thanks For Nothing" to "We Came to Kill" to "Execution Tracks." But, the lyrics get worse.Even keeping in mind these guys aren't native English speakers, you can't help but chuckle at some of the lyrics -- and the entire song in the case of "Shaven." This album is definitly not what you'd want to buy if you're interested in lyrics, but then Funker Vogt isn't the best band when it comes to lyrics to begin with. Most of the songs simply blend together, so there isn't much variety in the sound either. However, the music is good and definitly would work on a dancefloor -- just don't pay much attention to the lyrics.
