Surprisingly Heavy September 3, 2008 Like most people, I heard "Wicked Soul". After some time, I decided it was worth buying the disc since the song had repeatedly been stuck in my head. After buying it, I was amazed how heavy the disc was. I was expecting something like Black Stone Cherry or maybe Shinedown. But instead they sound a lot closer to Machine Head or early Soil. Lots of double bass and guitar solos. The singer has a great metal voice that is on the edge of a scream throughout the disc.
Someone wrote that the other songs were forgettable. If you are looking for the next Three Doors Down, this is not that and this would be forgettable. On the other hand, if you're into Machine Head, Byzantine, or other like bands, this is a must.
Buy it now!
Please support this awesome metal band October 29, 2008 Stop the madness! No more lame comparisons to Alter Bridge and Creed and whatever...these guys have no similarity other than a wee hint in the vox and the slightest in some of the riffs, other than that,ABD friggin rule and smash those lesser bands. The cd is phenomenal, with classic metal flavorings, perfect metal vocals, and GOOD songs! Tasty lead guitar work is all thru this excellent release, and I just saw these guys in Norfolk and let me tell you...they were simply awesome. All the songs sounded crisp and I felt like I was at a huge concert, even though it was a small venue (The Norva friggin rules),they had a disadvantage of being the first band on a 4 band bill with In This Moment,Bury Your Dead,(ugh!),and Five Finger Death Punch. Me and my friend went after their set to meet em and what a cool, regular bunch of fellas. Got my shirt autographed, hey these guys are gonna be pretty big...remember when nobody knew who Metallica was? over 20 some odd years ago a pimply faced James Hetfield and Kirk Hammet at a record signing/meet and greet at a little known record shop in NJ called rock and roll heaven...got my Kill Em All album signed that day my friends. Trust me .ABD has the talent, the chops, the attitude, the tunes, get the cd and throw those horns in the air. You wont be disappointed.
