Product Description In the vein of great biography comics from years past (Pope John Paul?II,?St. Francis of Assisi), come two biographies of the 2008 Presidential candidates. This year?s presidential primary season was historic for many reasons, and?Barack Obama?s rise from humble beginnings to his place on the November ballot makes for an extraordinary tale! Acclaimed artist?J. Scott Campbell?provides a special cover for the issue! John McCain?is a true American hero, and his tale, taking him from the hells of Viet Nam to becoming the Republican nominee for President is a story well worth telling.?J. Scott Campbell?again provides the cover for the comic-biography of one of the two candidates in November?s historic Presidential contest. Want to get both sides of the story? This special flipbook edition features the illustrated biographies of both Barack Obama and John McCain, with each story adorned by?J. Scott Campbell?s cover art.

Graphic Candidates October 17, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
With this election looming in less than a month from now, this double sided graphic novels explains both candidates's backgrounds and history. It is unbiaed history book done in graphic novel format It is an interesting graphic presenation. It does not tell the reader to pick one candidate over another, it give each person's history and not their voting records.
Many years ago, Marvel comics (YES, the same company that does Spiderman, X-Men and Iron Man) did a Pope John Paul comic. This presidental flip book is in the same vein.
The art and text mesh well. The art seems to be done quickly, but very well done. This historal graphic novel should be a colllectable of this years campaign for this years run for White House..and may the best man win
However, With most young people not reading (Those arent my words, That is from The American Public Library stats), this graphic novel fills a void for those 18 year olds to understand the candidates's backrounds. It does not tell you the candidate's promises, just the facts about them.
What makes this entertainment woth it is the artwork and the text. This is educational and informative..and something of value that everyone should read before heading into the voting booth.
It's short graphic novel mpresenation, so I may read it again in line while I am waiting to vote

Collectible appeal November 11, 2008 I have to admit I never intended to buy this for the satire,,I bought it for my grandchildrens children..A piece of history I will add to all the memorabilia I have collected from this historic election! If you like comics, it`s great but if you want to own a small piece of history here`s your chance! Add it to your collection or enjoy it at face value either way it was a great deal..
Revealing about both candidates November 16, 2008 The comic was more revealing about both candidates than I expected. McCain's wild youth and Obama's hanging out with some true radicals when he was young.
The art was a little primitive in spots. It was a good summary of both of their lives.
Important souvenir November 25, 2008 I purchased this rather unconventional souvenir of the historic 2008 presidential election. It has good, basic information about both candidates, but I will keep with my other Obama mementos.
