Different than advertised October 23, 2008 8 out of 13 found this review helpful
I received my guide today and its not leatherbound as promised. This is the second Fable II specail edition item that has been drastically different when I received it compared to the pre-order description. Buy the regular one, there is nothing special about this.
Broken Promises? What happened to the Leatherbound I ordered? October 22, 2008 7 out of 30 found this review helpful
I actually do not have the item in hand so this is a bit of a review of sorts without it. When I ordered this item, it was LEATHERBOUND, as I imagine along with the bonus item that were a part of the Limited Edition of Fable II, the leatherbound option has been nixed? I don't know if amazon is still honoring the leatherbound edition or not, so that is really my concern here. But on a side note I have purchased the regular guide and it is very informative and comprehensive. Leaves nothing out. I imagine finding everything will be a breeze as the guide is very well put together and well written.
Buy the Fable 2 Signature Series Guide instead! October 24, 2008 7 out of 10 found this review helpful
Unless you are a diehard fan that has to buy limited edition everything, and it's alright if you are but if you are like me, just the average joe, don't buy this product. It is not worth the extra money. Buy the standard Signiture Guide instead. The Standard Guide covers all of the needed information and that is really the only thing a gamer needs.
They lied, but guide is ok just buy regular one. October 27, 2008 6 out of 9 found this review helpful
First off art books not worth the extra money just go buy the regular guide.
Ok so i pre-ordered both collector editions, game and guide. Originally the game was to have a collector hobbe bean bag figure with it which pictures were uber kewl. But instead I hear that Lionhead decided to give the original collector editions and doll away as promo material to stars and reviewers lucky enough to attend their lavish parties, and gave us true fans crap. As for the guide, buy the regular one it is all the important info you need. However note that treasure differs from the guide. Almost 99% of what the guide says you will find in dig spots, dive locations, and chest will not be what it says but something similar. I don't know why. But at least it helps you find where they are tho you wont know what they are. Lastly, I wonder how many more times game manufacturers are going to dupe us with pre-order build up that turns out to be fraud, and I also wonder how long before we get sick of it and create a class action lawsuit for fraud. In ohio there are Bait and Switch laws that say something like this, "Product has to be what is advertised" or it becomes fraud. Sure i'm being a little BBBchy about it and I am a massive nerd that probably would have bought it anyway. But i'm tired of thinking im gonna get one thing and then get something else.
Limited Edition only if your interested in the ART BOOK October 24, 2008 3 out of 7 found this review helpful
There is no extra content for the guide in either format, there is only the ARt book and different coveer but, their the same either one in bad content, really it is badly organized, the items, were to find them etc, the way its distributed makes it inpractical.
